My journey to $1k/mo

Introduction

So guys, today I'm starting my journey to $1000/mo residual income. My method is going to be offline marketing of SEO services. I plan on outsourcing SEO services from the BST section and presenting myself as an SEO specialist to local businesses that aren't ranking (well or at all) on Google. I'm starting with $0 in capital. Also, I'm 19 years old, and living in Alabama. I'm hoping that my youth (and relatively young, though professional, appearance) won't create too much of a barrier when it comes to face-to-face meetings.

Day 1

Step 1, obviously, would be to start building a list of potential clients/leads. I'm using YellowBook to search for businesses in various niches that could benefit from search engine visibility. Currently I'm looking into doctors, dentists, interior designers, lawyers, realtors, and contractors.

I have a list of 7 businesses so far and am still looking. I went to the doctor's office today with my girlfriend, and while I was in the waiting room I discovered, with my handy-dandy netbook, that the practice didn't even have a website. I immediately asked to speak to the manager/managing partner, and after a quick 10 minute pitch, got her interest and left some contact information (gf's visit was quick so I had to cut the meeting short). I was told to expect a call by the end of the week regarding a website design (which I will outsource, of course) and SEO services for said site.
